When resurfacing garage floors, start by cleaning, repairing and patching all chips and flaws in the concrete. Use a cleaner designed to cut through grease, oil and other contaminants. If the stains are tough to remove, wire brush them away first before hosing down with water mixed with a cleaning soap. Once that's done, proceed patching the cracks with epoxy-based fillers and grout. You can do sanding and priming once the fillers have dried. The idea is to create a smooth, even base for your garage resurfacing project to rest on.

Apply the first coat of epoxy To ensure that the epoxy-based product spreads evenly across your floor, use an electric paint roller to apply it. You can adjust its speed depending on how thick or thin the floor coating is. Coat the entire area evenly by rolling up and down, back and forth to cover the entire floor surface. Lastly, let it dry and cure for at least 24 hours or longer depending on the product.
