Wallpapers are cool. They're not hard to apply and they look great when new. But at some point, they always start to peel and fade. Eventually, your wallpaper just becomes an eyesore. Outdated wallpaper can greatly affect the appearance of a room. Therefore, it's best to remove it and start fresh. However, wallpaper removal isn't easy, especially without the proper tools. Forcefully removing stubborn wallpaper can cause considerable damage. It can even expose walls to future water damage. Luckily, we can do wallpaper removal for you!

Start off by protecting your floors since you'll be spraying hot water onto the walls. Lay down a plastic painter’s tarp and secure it with painter's tape. If there are electrical outlets on the walls, cover them too with electrical tape. Electrical tape helps keep water and paint out of the outlets which prevents short circuits.

When everything is ready, spray hot water to your walls. Wait for 5 minutes before using a steamer to soften the wallpaper adhesive between the wallpaper and the wall. Once done, slowly scrape off the wallpaper. Be sure not to scrape too hard as this can damage the wall. Remove all excess water from the wall to avoid having water spots on it. Wait for the wall to dry completely before moving on to Step 2 or applying primer.

When the walls are completely stripped, thoroughly clean them so they’re free of dust and debris. Then, add a coat of paint primer to paint over any imperfections or marks left on the surface. Finally, apply two coats of your selected paint color, bringing your walls back to life!
